Summit RHT series are highly refined, hydrotreated ammonia compressor lubricants specially designed to function under the stringent requirements of closed-loop ammonia refrigeration systems. Besides providing value-added benefits in the areas of improved system efficiency and higher productivity, the performance advantages of Summit RHT series versus naphthenic oils include:

Summit RHT series are exceptionally well suited for rotary screw, reciprocating and rotary vane compressors in ammonia service. They are compatible with naphthenic and other hydrotreated paraffinic-based compressor oils for ammonia service, as well as PAO and alkylbenzene-based products. They are compatible with all seal elastomers commonly used in these systems including Buna-N, Neoprene and Fluorocarbon (Viton®). Due to swelling, softening and rapid deterioration of Neoprene seals in the presence of naphthenic oils, it is strongly recommended that these seals be replaced before changing to Summit RHT.
